Seventeen students from Staffordshire, Derbyshire and the West Midlands braved the cold weather and gathered in Whittington for a day of Yoga and Qi Kung on Saturday 3rd January.
The morning began with a Relaxation, followed by the Bua Juan Jin, a set of eight Qi Kung routines to start moving energy around the body.
A session of Yin Yoga followed, using slow seated postures to work on kidney and bladder areas.
The morning was rounded off with Five Lotus Petals, a short Qi Kung routine.
Following a shared lunch the group worked on Qi Kung exercises based upon the "water element", to store energy into the kidney and bladder regions to strengthen them for winter.
A 61 Point Relaxation, Pranayma, Meditation and Mantra closed the day.
