Guidelines for yoga practice
· Please arrive promptly
· Always allow at least two hours to elapse after eating a light meal before practicing yoga. (Four hours after consuming a heavier meal).
· Loose comfortable clothing is advisable so you can move around freely.
· A non- slip mat is recommended for yoga practice
· Working with bare feet is advised during posture work so you do not slip and also to have more connection with your feet.
· Socks and a jumper will keep you warm and comfortable during relaxation.
· A blanket is also useful for relaxation and as a support while practicing.
· Some jewellery may be uncomfortable / unsafe to wear while practicing yoga.
· Remember yoga is non- competitive, so be gentle with yourself and work within your range of movement and try not to compare yourself with others.
· Be patient and allow gradual progress, this will be more permanent in the long run.
· Stretching is good but don’t strain or force your body.
· Yoga will help to revitalise and energise the body.
Pregnancy.
