Guidelines for yoga practice

· Please arrive promptly

· Always allow at least two hours to elapse after eating a light meal before practicing yoga. (Four hours after consuming a heavier meal).

· Loose comfortable clothing is advisable so you can move around freely.

· A non- slip mat is recommended for yoga practice

· Working with bare feet is advised during posture work so you do not slip and also to have more connection with your feet.

· Socks and a jumper will keep you warm and comfortable during relaxation.

· A blanket is also useful for relaxation and as a support while practicing.

· Some jewellery may be uncomfortable / unsafe to wear while practicing yoga.

· Remember yoga is non- competitive, so be gentle with yourself and work within your range of movement and try not to compare yourself with others.

· Be patient and allow gradual progress, this will be more permanent in the long run.

· Stretching is good but don’t strain or force your body.

· Yoga will help to revitalise and energise the body.

Pregnancy.

If you are at any stage of pregnancy please discuss with Instructor before attending class.
