In contrast to our day in winter, March 21st saw 22 students join us for a series of practices that celebrated the start of spring.
Following a brief relaxation to calm people after their journey to Whittington, we worked on some basic standing and spiraling qi kung techniques and yoga grounding poses.
The afternoon commenced with a series of qi kungs based upon the Lotus and Five Animal Frolics that lifted the energy and worked upon the wood element and its associated organs and meridians.
The group then worked into the yoga Blossoming Lotus Sequence, followed by standing breathing exercises, again to lift the energies.
The afternoon concluded with relaxation and meditation.
